How to use these materials
The following materials should be treated as a single lecture/laboratory module. We are using the word "lecture" to imply the class-time allotted to provide instruction to students outside of a laboratory setting and not necessarily the delivery of a lecture in the traditional sense of "professor talks - students take notes." The lecture content, in most cases, is associated with results of the research project. The delivery method used the most appropriate active learning techniques for the specific topic, including the use of clicker responses, completion of handouts, pre-class or pre-lab quizzes, etc. Each module was presented in one of the courses taught by the corresponding mentor. Course enrollees provided feedback on the quality of the presentation of the module, the knowledge and ability of the fellow to answer questions, etc.
